Convention Updates

Keswick Ministries exists to refresh God’s people with joy in Christ Jesus.

What to expect

The Convention is located at The Pencil Factory in Keswick. It's free of charge and open to everyone. There is no need to register so you can come and go as much as you like. Each summer has a particular theme which is explored across three weeks. Each week has a unique programme and set of speakers, with a morning Bible teaching session, seminars, and an evening celebration. Kids & Youth have their own groups which follow the same parts of the Bible as the adults. The afternoons are free for enjoying the local area.

Morning sessions

Each morning we come together in the Main Tent with thousands of others for our main Bible teaching and sung worship. As we encounter God and his goodness through his word, our hearts are refreshed, we understand what the gospel means for our lives, and we are encouraged to live out our faith.

Seminars and workshops

Every morning choose from a selection of varied speakers covering different topics. Seminars run Monday to Friday, some as two-day tracks, and some as four, except for Wednesday morning when a guest speaker will deliver the Keswick Lecture.

Afternoons

There are always optional activities going on in the afternoons like concerts or theatre performances, or sessions run by mission partners in our Base Camp mission exhibition.
There’s also time to rest and reflect, and explore the stunning surroundings of Keswick and the Lake District.

Evening Celebrations

In the evenings we come together again in the Main Tent, sing in worship and hear from guest speakers who open up the Bible with us. We’ll also be hearing about what God is doing around the world through various mission partners.

Outside of the sessions

Come and meet agencies that are working for the gospel around the world. If you’re a mission partner agency,  find out more about having a stand at the exhibition.

Nothing!

Through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to make the Convention freely available to all, including Kids & Youth activities (except for occasional ticketed concerts).

We estimate that it costs about £180 for an adult to attend the Convention for a week. We recognise that some people can’t give this much, whilst others may be able to give much more. Everyone is equally welcome. During the Convention, we provide opportunities for people to contribute as they feel able. You can also make a gift here to support the Convention.

No registration or booking is required to attend the event, except for those attending the Kids & Keswick Youth programme.

You can find more information about the Kids & Youth programme here.

There is an on-site crèche with a TV relay, so parents with little ones aged 0-3 can listen to the Morning Bible Readings, the Evening Celebrations, and the Keswick Lecture. Parental supervision is required at all times. Baby changing facilities are available.

On the Convention site, there is a relay venue in Base Camp. This is a smaller seating space and a quieter venue during meeting times.

Keswick Methodist Church will be relaying Bible Readings, Evening Celebrations, Main Tent seminars, and the Keswick Lecture throughout the three weeks. The premises are fully wheelchair accessible, have a loop system, are suitable for the visually impaired, and are dog-friendly.

Watch on YouTube – All Main Tent sessions on Livestream and seminar sessions on catch-up following the event.

We don’t keep a list of accommodation in Keswick; however, we do have a shortlist of places to help you start your search on our Plan Your Visit page.

There is allocated seating inside the main tent towards the stage, where a BSL signer is also available. There is also allocated seating at the back of the Main Tent. Stewards will be able to help you locate these areas on arrival.

The relay venue in Base Camp is also wheelchair-user-friendly.
