Who decides what you sing, Sunday by Sunday? Who leads the music group, if you have one? If it’s you, do you feel equipped for this task?

Key information

Overview:

Who decides what you sing, Sunday by Sunday? Who leads the music group, if you have one? If it’s you, do you feel equipped for this task?

If this is part of how you serve your church family, you’ll know it is a beautiful and weighty joy. But you’ll also know at times what it is to feel isolated, weary, an impostor, and running out of ideas.

The Keswick Music Leaders’ Conference aims to fire and fuel you to keep going, with a heart refreshed with joy in Christ Jesus to keep you serving your people for his glory. We want you to be confident in why God gave us songs and how they put truth on fire in our hearts. Come and build a network of other people who are serving just like you. And take home tools, equipping and teaching which will help you to flourish and grow in your ministry.

Programme:

  • Bible teaching from Matt Searles

  • Selection of workshop tracks pitched at different levels of experience

  • Space and time to sing, share and pray

Accommodation and meals:

All meals are included during the event. Accommodation is not included, so you can make an arrangement locally which suits you. There are plenty of bed and breakfasts, hostels, hotels and self-catering cottages to choose from in Keswick. We have a limited number of rooms at our Skiddaw Street centre available for bed and breakfast: for information about this please contact bookings@keswickministries.org

Who is this for:

This conference is for people in churches with responsibility for setting the culture, planning or leading music in regular Sunday worship, whether as a part of their role on a church staff team or as a member of the church family.

Matt Searles

Matt loves helping people delve deeper into the riches of God's word, and particularly loves Biblical Theology, seeing God's one glorious plan of salvation through the scriptures.

Having served in local church ministry for a number of years, he now works for Crosslands Seminary, equipping others to teach God's word.

He is married to Toni, has a daughter Annie, and describes himself as a tea-drinker and countryside lover.
