Matthew: Matchless Authority

We meet the Lord Jesus as He acts mercifully and miraculously in the lives of a diversity of people facing various challenges. These episodes tie in with our theme Grateful, not so much in gratitude expressed by these people, but in the way they highlight reasons we have to be grateful to Him.
Even though the Jewish people had the scriptures and the history, here we meet a Gentile centurion who knew better than anyone where true authority lay.
