Slavery: Theological Reflection & Practical Mandate
James Ewins KC is a barrister, specialising in Family Law. James is a minister of justice. In 2009 he spent 2 years in South Asia, working for International Justice Mission and from 2011 he was involved in the conception, drafting and implementation of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. He continues to practice as a barrister and also sits as a Deputy High Court Judge at the Royal Courts of Justice.
*For clarification: James Ewins has explained that he used the term “non-binary” in the context of this Lecture with the intention that everyone who hears his talk, whether at the Convention or online, feels included in the universal class of those to whom God’s love is extended; if there are any listeners who do not identify as either male or female, they nonetheless should not feel excluded from God’s love.
