Elisha foreshadows Jesus more closely than anyone in the Old Testament, not least in bringing salvation when everyone expected him to bring judgement. Indeed he saves the most unlikely people, including Namaan, the human trafficker, whose conversion epitomises both the inclusivity and exclusivity of the gospel.
