Convention

Since 1875, God’s people have been convening in Keswick to hear Bible teaching that wins our hearts to Jesus.

Today, we are a gathering of thousands of adults and children, eager to feast on the riches of God’s word, sing, and enjoy being one big family. Across three weeks, with free admission for all, we celebrate being 'All one in Christ Jesus' in the heart of the Lake District.The Convention is an opportunity for us to gather and be refreshed by the word of God, and enjoy the beauty of his creation. As we delight in the goodness of God, we can become more like Jesus and go serve him with joy and confidence.With a full 0-18 Kids & Youth programme, we work hard to ensure the Convention is accessible to everyone. We love having whole families grow in their love for Jesus together at the Convention- and it's not all over when we go home. The days we share together at the Convention have an eternal impact. As the gospel transforms our lives, we can go home to live for Jesus all year round and send out others on mission across the world.

All year round, from our home at The Pencil Factory, our bespoke year-round events are designed to help God’s people grow from the inside-out and joyfully engage with his world. From arts retreats to leadership courses, as we delight in God’s word together we want to grow to be more like Jesus and be better equipped to serve the Lord in our everyday life and ministry. All of our courses and workshops are rooted in the word of God and are tailored to different ages, or roles. Whether you’re a full-time church leader who needs encouragement, or a young person looking for help on how to share your faith with your friends, there’s something for you.

Resources

Our free digital resources are centred on faithful Bible teaching from trusted leaders. We want to share the riches of God’s word as widely as we can, giving them away for free. We want God’s people and local church families anywhere in the world to be refreshed with joy in Christ Jesus so that they can walk more closely with him wherever he has placed them.

Our History

The Keswick Convention began in 1875 as a gathering of Christians in a Vicarage garden, with a vision to extend the hope of Jesus to local people.
