Revelation: A Christ-Dependent Church

Andy Prime speaks on "A Christ-dependent church" from Revelation 3:14-22.

The future of the church – at least in Asia Minor – was threatened from without by persecution and within by false teaching, idolatry and immorality. The words of the risen Christ come, with similar pattern, in every letter. Although rooted in history, and particular, yet they are meant for wider audience and they are very contemporary.

In Revelation 3:14-22 we are introduced to the church in Laodicea. Lacking self-awareness, their own verdict on themselves is very different from the risen Christ’s. They need to hear his words of warning and welcome his gracious offer.
