What The Church Can Learn From Lamentations: Lamenting As Community Of Faith | School Of Biblical
Rico Villanueva speaks on “What the Church can learn from Lamentations.”
Lamenting as a Community of Faith
How do we lament as a community? Lament is often viewed as a private matter in western societies. But lament in the Bible is also communal. The book of Lamentations ends with a communal lament. It shows us the value of lamenting as a community. Indeed, one of the reasons the Israelites were able to survive their tragic experiences was because they knew how to lament as a community.
